Testing

  • Immunohistochemistry (IHC) which is often coupled with molecular diagnostics
  • Tumor Marker Microsatellite Instability (MSI) Panel – This test allows physicians to assess the need to test individuals or their family members for Lynch Syndrome-associated mutations. Lynch syndrome, or Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer (HNPCC), is an autosomal dominant disorder caused by mutations in mismatch repair (MMR) genes and accounts for about 3% to 5% of colorectal cancers.
  • Her2 by FISH and IHC for Gastric and Esophageal Cancers
  • HPV (ISH) – Genotyping to detect HPV low risk/high risk in a lesion
  • Barrett’s FISH – This test looks at MYC, p16, Her2, and ZNF217 genes to determine the risk of having high-grade dysplasia and esophageal adenocarcinoma (EA) to determine the prognosis of Barrett’s Esophagus (BE).
  • Esophageal Cytology Brushings – This is a cytopathologic evaluation for the detection and characterization of malignancy in the esophagus.
  • Comprehensive IHC Test Menu
  • Special Stains – These are used to aid in the diagnosis of Organisms and Metaplasia.
