History

Physician-founded in 2009 as a gastrointestinal pathology-focused laboratory, today, we deliver full-scale clinical diagnostic services with qualified precision for healthcare providers, facilities, and patients throughout the U.S., accepting specimens from all 50 states.

We serve 2,000+ physician specialists that rely heavily on comprehensive diagnostic and pathology expertise and services in their field. Our high client retention rates can be attributed to our adaptability and solution-driven results

Meet The Team

Pathologists

With over 20 dedicated pathologists, our team is known across the country as leaders in their field. They are board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologists with subspecialties in Cytopathology, Dermatopathology, GI Pathology, Gynecologic Pathology, Hematopathology, Surgical Pathology, Podiatry, and Urological Pathology.

Each of our pathologists offers expert opinions in their respective fields of practice, accurate and highly professional diagnostic services, second opinions, and timely results. In addition, they provide consultation services and callbacks for significant or unusual findings and attend scheduled pathology conferences upon request.

Dr. Rangwala is the Chairman of Pathology at Ocean Medical Center and is the President of Meridian Laboratory Physicians. He received his M.D. degree from Bombay University, India. He completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Monmouth Medical Center and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology. He has expertise in gastrointestinal, genitourinary, breast, dermatologic and hematologic pathology for over 35 years. He has co-authored a number of articles published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a fellow member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and New Jersey Society of Pathologists.

Dr. Leschhorn is Chairman of Pathology at Riverview Medical Center. He received his M.D. degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He completed an Anatomic and Clinical pathology residency and a fellowship in Gastrointestinal and Hepatic pathology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL, under the mentorship of Professor Dr. M. Sambasiva Rao, and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He has expertise in gastrointestinal, breast, and cytopathology with emphasis on interpretation of Fine Needle Aspirations, especially Thyroid, with 700+ Thyroid FNAs/year performed at Riverview Medical Center. He is a fellow member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, International Society of Breast Pathology, and New Jersey Society of Pathologists, where he served as president 2007-2009.

Dr. Minassian is Chairman of Pathology at Bayshore Community Hospital. He received his M.D. degree from Aleppo University in Syria. He completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Monmouth Medical Center and a fellowship in Cytopathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. As chair of the Continuing Medical Education Committee for Meridian Health, he provides opportunities for approximately 2000 physicians to update their knowledge and skills and be aware of cutting-edge medical technology. He has co-authored several articles published in Diagnostic Cytopathology and Acta Cytologica. He is a fellow member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology, American Pathology Foundation, and The Armenian Medical Association.

Dr. Dukuly, an attending pathologist at Riverview Medical Center, received his medical degree from the A.M. Dogliotti College of Medicine, University of Liberia, Monrovia, Liberia. He spent two years as a Research Fellow at the Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Dukuly subsequently completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the George Washington University Medical Center, Washington, D.C., and a year of fellowship in Anatomic Pathology at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York. Dr. Dukuly is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology. He has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of surgical pathology. Dr. Dukuly is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Gupta is an attending pathologist at Riverview Medical Center. She received her medical degree (MBBS) from Seth G.S. medical college in Mumbai, India, and continued to do her post-doctoral training (MD) in pathology at Seth G.S. Medical College and KEM Hospital. She has also completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from Tufts Medical Center, Boston, and a fellowship in Cytopathology from 2 Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Gupta is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Cytopathology and has expertise in Cytopathology and all aspects of Surgical Pathology. She is a fellow member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology, United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, and American Society of Cytopathology.

Dr. Zheng is an attending pathologist at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He received his M.D. degree from Qingdao Medical College in China and his Ph.D. degree from Columbia University. He completed an Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency program and a Surgical Pathology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Zheng has over a decade of practice experience in surgical pathology and cytology with expertise in gastrointestinal and gynecological pathology and is the author of over a dozen publications in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Zheng is a fellow member of the College of American Pathologists, American Society for Clinical Pathology, and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

Medical Couriers

We employ a fleet of medical couriers available seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. to pick up specimens throughout New Jersey, as well as areas of New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. They are fully trained in specimen handling and maintain certification annually for the following:

  • HIPAA ensures secure chain-of-custody procedures are followed, and patient confidentiality is protected.
  • Biohazardous Waste for the proper disposal and cleanup of any spills should they occur.
  • DOT for transporting diagnostic specimens.
